Buying Boundheat.com DVDs FAQ

. How do I place a DVD order?

You will create an account with your email address and set up a password when you wish to place your first order, save this password to log in for future purchases and to check your order status.

You must provide a working permanent email address and ensure it passes your spam filters in order for us to confirm your order or contact you with any issues regarding your order as we cannot guarantee proper delivery without the ability to communicate to your email address.

Add items to your shopping cart, Click Add to Basket button

Select format:
NTSC for Japan, North America and Brazil
PAL for Asia and Africa and Europe

You can continue Shopping by clicking Continue Shopping button and continue to Add items to your shopping basket or Proceed to Checkout

Review the items you have placed in your shopping basket, change anything if needed.

Proceed to Checkout

Register or Login if previously registered. Complete the shipping information.

Choose Payment Processor or Click Cash Payment and follow the instructions.

Do not use your browser's back button until completion of the payment transaction, doing so can result in an error creating the need to re-enter the order again but do not be concerned about any additional order numbers, this is generated just to allow the order to proceed again and only the one order number whose transaction is fully completed will incur any charges and you will receive a successful confirmation of the order that did complete.

VEROTEL is a secure payment processor which processes American and all international orders via credit card transactions. We will be adding as time permits an additional payment processor to the website. MUZO is the European affiliate for Global Payments of North America and converts your purchase from Euros or USD into Czech crowns. For ease of reference, when choosing Muzo as the payment processor, this additional conversion to Czech crowns as well as the USD equivalent is displayed throughout the ordering process for your review. Muzo utilizes Mastercard secure and Verified by Visa which utilizes an additional pin code system for Internet purchases for your added protection. When ordering for first time on the Internet, you are directed to the bank site of your credit card provider to create a special pin code you will save and use for all Internet purchases, if your card is ever lost or stolen only you have this information and no can use it on the Internet at any merchant sites. Thereafter you will be directed first to your credit card provider to enter this special pin code when choosing Muzo as the payment processer and then onto the Muzo page to complete your credit card information

. Do you take Paypal or use other payment methods?

No, we do not process paypal on this site, if you have questions about ordering via a Paypal account, please contact admin@boundheat.com

. I have a question or request regarding my order, who do I contact?

When placing your DVD order, you can add your question or request to the Customer Comment box and it will be seen at the time your order is processed.

. How do I check on the status of my order?

Log in with the email address and password you set up initially and you can check on the status of your order. It is set to Processing once a completed payment transaction has been confirmed and you will receive an email at that time and when the order is actually shipping will be updated to Completed and you will receive another email to tell you your order is shipping.
Please allow 2-3 days for processing time (excluding holidays) and shipping depending on your location should usually take between 4-10 business days (excluding holidays) to arrive at your shipping address. If you have not received your order within 10 days from the date of the email shipping notice, please do check with your local postal service in case if a registered shipment is waiting for pickup. If you have any questions regarding the shipping or your order, please contact us at admin@boundheat.com.

. How are the DVDs packaged?

We care about our customer's privacy and for discretionary purposes, our DVDs are shipped via registered post in plain white bubblewrap envelopes without any reference to the films on the outside and only our return address for BHF.

. What appears on my credit card statement?

This may vary according to your credit card provider. Verotel orders display payments to North American Productions. MUZO orders display payments to BHF.

. Why did my order transaction not complete successfully?

If you did not receive a confirmation of a successfully completed payment transaction it maybe due to a number of reasons, the most common being a simple transcription error of incorrect number entry or incorrect expiry date. Also please note that part of the verification process is that the information you enter with the payment processor must match exactly with what is on file with your credit card provider. If you have moved and the credit card information has a different address on file, this can cause a decline of the order via the payment processor.
If you wish to have your order ship to a different address then your usual mailing address, please enter that in your registration information on our site under shipping information, but when completing the payment transaction with the payment processors and entering your credit card information make sure to use the exact name and address as what is on file with your credit card provider.

. Why can I not complete my order, I am getting error messages or nothing happens?

It maybe possibly due to your Internet browser settings and you may need to Enable Popups (and disable Popup blockers on your browser and Firewall) and you may need to enter our website as well as those for the payment processors on the security tab feature of your browser for Allowed or Trusted Sites.  (http://www.boundheat.comhttps://www.pay.muzo.com)
If you experience any specific error messages, please copy and send in email to us at admin@boundheat.com and we will do our best to assist you.

. Is entering credit card information on the Internet safe?

Actually in most cases entering over the Internet can be safer then providing credit card information via fax or telephone call since you cannot control who may pick up that information, when using a secure payment gateway, you can be assured that they must pass the most stringent security tests and rules by the credit card companies in order to be verified to accept credit card payments. Check your security settings on your browser and you should always see in the address bar https rather than http indicating a secure address as well as a padlock should display on your task bar along the bottom.

. What is your Refund and Shipping Policy?

We will refund or replace your purchase if goods are damaged during shipping and you notify admin@boundheat.com within 2 business days of receipt of damaged goods and damaged goods are returned within 7 days of delivery to Bound Heat Films as per the address listed on the shipping packing slip. If goods are lost and not received, we must be notified via email within 10 days of the shipping notice from admin@boundheat.com so that we can trace the registered package. If goods are not located within additional 7 business days, customer will be refunded. Since we update the processing and shipping status, customers must provide a working email address and enable their email filters to receive email from admin@boundheat.com so that we can send email updates of the status of an order, without this we cannot guarantee delivery or refunds. Please enter and check your shipping address information carefully, we cannot be responsible for goods not being received if you have entered an incorrect or invalid address. We charge a 10 dollar handling charge on all cancellations of orders after processing notice has been sent.

. What are the system requirements for watching the videos?

The films are encoded via DRM (digital rights management) that was developed by Microsoft as a copyright protection system and is compatible only with Windows systems.

  • You must be running Windows 2000 or newer, and have installed Windows Media Player version 9.0 or newer. No other operating system is compatible with DRM encoded media.
    Windows and Windows Media Player must both be English versions!
    Our movies currently are not compatible with Macintosh computers, even Mac users who have "Flip4Mac" installed.
  • IMPORTANT! You must disable all pop-up blockers or your video license may not be issued correctly!
  • You need to enable Popups on your Internet browser as well as on your firewall settings.
  • You must enable Active X controls on your Internet browser.
  • You must enable Java scripting on your Internet browser.
  • You may need to temporarily disable your firewall and antivirus software to complete downloading as it may cause very slow connection to time out or prevent the download because of settings interference.
  • Download accelerators are not compatible with the download system.
  • You may need to check your browser settings and allow both our website of  www.boundheat.com and the server for the downloads which is   www.streamhoster.com in your trusted sites folder.
  • You must have our primary email address of admin@boundheat.com configured to pass all spam filters on your email in order to receive the license and also any technical assistance.
  • You must have a legitimate functioning email address in order to receive your license and or any technical assistance.
  • You must have a fast and stable connection to the Internet - broadband high speed is recommended (cable or dsl).
  • You need to have sufficient hard drive space for saving the film (recommended minimum 3 gig) and your computer processor should be pentium 3 or higher, Pentium 4 recommended, also recommended is minimum 256 mb of ram.
. Can I transfer the downloaded video to another computer or device?

No, the DRM encoding prevents the file from being viewed on another computer or device

. What if I have to reinstall Windows what happens to my licenses?

All information in the DRM folder is lost on a computer when Windows is reinstalled, but for those who purchased (not rented) a film, if we are contacted within a reasonable time period after your purchase we can issue you a new license. But please do review our User agreement, as we cannot be responsible for any ongoing computer technical problems a user may encounter that causes either incompatibility with the licensing method or possible corruption of the DRM folder and inability to view the film but we will work very hard with you to try to overcome any problems you may have.

. I have Windows Media Player 9, but I still can't watch the movie!

It is important that the language settings within Windows and Windows Media Player are set to English.
You can change the language settings for Windows by going to the Control Panel, and selecting "Regional and Language Options" and making sure your system is set to "US English".
If you do not have an English version of Windows 2000 or XP installed, Boundheat cannot guarantee compatibility with our licensing system.

If you do not have the English version of Windows Media Player installed, you can download an English version from Microsoft's Website

. How can I purchase a license?

The first step is to Register. It is Free. You will be asked to create a user name of your choice and to create your own password. You will be asked to agree to our user agreement, and then you will receive an email with a confirmation link.
After confirming your email, log into your account, and click on the "Purchase a License" tab to select a film and the license type and proceed to payment.

After your payment has been successfully completed you will receive an email from admin@boundheat.com with your license code and the link to download.

Or if you log into the downloads section of the site
www.boundheat.com/ppv/php using the email address you had authenticated, you will see your active license also displayed under the My Licenses tab, along with the link to download the movie.

. I forgot my password how do I log in?

If you've forgotten your password, please click on the "Forgot your password?" link on the login page, or click here. You will be asked to enter your email address and your password will be mailed to you.

. How do you download a video?

All of your active licenses can be viewed under the "My Licenses" tab of your account page.

Next to the movie title is a column with a download link, and right beside it is the 16 digit license code to validate the license.

. How do you save a video?

In the "My Licenses" tab, you will see a download link to all of your purchased films. Simply "RIGHT-CLICK" on the link and select "SAVE AS..." and select an appropriate location to save your movie. To ensure proper playback, wait until the film has fully downloaded to save to your hard drive.

. How large are the movies?

Movies encoded for rental are approximately 350MB. Movies encoded for purchase are approximately 1.3GB.

  • On a broadband connection, you can expect the rental film to take approximately 25 - 40 minutes to download
  • On a broadband connection, you can expect the purchase film to take approximately 1.5 - 3 hours to download
  • If you have a broadband or ADSL connection, you will be able to begin viewing your movie within 10-30 seconds after it begins downloading or about when it is close to 40 percent buffered but it will stop and start again until the download completes.

Windows Media Player will continue to download the remainder of the film as you are watch it Once the film is fully downloaded, it will play uninterrupted.

. What's the difference between Rental and Purchase?

A Rental video is encoded at VHS quality - 500kbit - and the license associated with it will allow you to watch the film an unlimited times over a 48 hour period. Once the 48 hours has expired, you will need to purchase another license to view the film again.
The Rental video is 426px x 240px in frame size.
A Purchase video is encoded at near-DVD quality - 2000kbit - and the license associated with it will allow you to watch the film an unlimited times with no expiration.
The Purchase video is 720px x 404px in frame size and the audio is encoded in stereo format.

. What payment types do you accept?

Currently we accept VISA/Mastercard/AmericanExpress/Diner's Club via Verotel and VISA and Mastercard with 3D Authentication via Muzo

. I paid, but didn't receive my license how do I get it?

Sometimes, it is possible, that the license is not issued correctly possibly due to some incompatibility of your computer settings or if your Internet connection had dropped off.
Please be assured that if you have successfully paid, we will work with you to receive your license and provide assistance in reviewing your settings that may be of issue.
Most commonly the reason a license does not get properly issued has to do with Popup blockers which need to be disabled,
Popups must be enabled throughout the ordering and downloading process and you need to review the Minimum system requirements to make necessary changes to comply with the settings
Please send an email to admin@boundheat.com with your transaction ID, email, name, time of purchase, film purchased, and any other information. We will promptly review your email, and if necessary, we will issue a coupon code to receive your license.
Please do not email the payment processor before contacting us as they cannot re-issue your license.

Further warranties and limitations regarding the license issuance and your computer compatibility are outlined in the User agreement which you need to agree to prior to purchase.

. How do I enter my license?

When the film begins to play and you are prompted to enter the code, simply go to your account page and copy the 16 digit license code (xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx) and paste it in the fields and press OK. Your license code can only be used once,  but if you chose a Buy option your license will not expire and if needed because of some technical issue with your settings that prevented the license from working properly and then becomes resolved, we will issue you another to enter.

. Can I watch the video on my big screen LCD?

If your LCD or Plasma screen is directly connected to the computer you used to download the video, (via your graphics card with a TV out option or DVI or HDMI connection, then yes you can. If it is not directly connected to that computer and you play videos to it via a DVD player, not you cannot. You can only view the video on the computer to which the video was downloaded.

. What is your refund policy on Movie Downloads?

As per our User Agreement, downloads are delivered as is and are not refundable. All licenses are only playable to the device to which they were downloaded. All customers are requested to carefully review the Download Tutorial, the Download FAQ and the Minimum System Requirements prior to attempting downloads and match the computer settings as outlined. If choosing the Purchase option and if you received an error message of invalid code which is due to incompatible computer settings, we will work with you to resolve those issues, and upon your review and correction to settings, we will issue you another license number. If you are unable to resolve your computer settings issues, a substitution of a DVD may be offered but is subject to the appropriate Order Service Fees to offset the costs of packaging, handling and shipping. All Purchase Download files should be properly backed up in case of computer failure and if such does occur, we will issue you another license; if files have not been backed up and a new download is required since the DVD file is not available, an Order Service Fee may be applied to issue another license to offset administrative charges and download bandwidth usage incurred. Rental licenses are not refundable and any invalid code errors received as a result of incorrect computer settings must be notifies via email to admin@boundheat.com within 48 hours of license issuance to receive assistance to resolve settings issues on order to view the film license. No additional licenses will be issues for any rentals following that time period and no order substitutions are available for rental licenses.
